1 The daughter of Angus Cameron and Rachel Cameron. Angus was a miller and farmer at Killichonan, eight miles west of
Kinloch Rannoch, where he and Rachel had a large family. One son became a doctor and a daughter was a seamstress in
a SPCK school. Angus and Rachel returned to Killichonan where they died within six weeks of each other in 1897.
Rachel Cameron was locally known as 'the Rannoch Seer'. Both of her parental lines were said to have the power of 'second sight',
and this was especially associated with red-haired people, which both she and her daughter Rachel had.
Rachel Cameron was the daughter of Ewan Cameron and Rachel McGregor, born Craganour in 1819. Rachel McGregor and her brother
John were born in the 1770s and are thought to have been the children of Donald and Katherine MacGregor of Lerigan
(see 'Kate MacGregor's Heart' - local folktale).
