1901 Census for the Bohespic Area

Allt-an-Tomanbuidhe (Tomanbuie) - Blair Atholl Parish (district 3)

¹ The daughter of Angus Cameron and Rachel Cameron. Angus was a miller and farmer at Killichonan, eight miles west of Kinloch Rannoch, where he and Rachel had a large family. One son became a doctor and a daughter was a seamstress in a SPCK school. Angus and Rachel returned to Killichonan where they died within six weeks of each other in 1897.
Rachel Cameron was locally known as 'the Rannoch Seer'. Both of her parental lines were said to have the power of 'second sight', and this was especially associated with red-haired people, which both she and her daughter Rachel had.
Rachel Cameron was the daughter of Ewan Cameron and Rachel McGregor, born Craganour in 1819. Rachel McGregor and her brother John were born in the 1770s and are thought to have been the children of Donald and Katherine MacGregor of Lerigan (see 'Kate MacGregor's Heart' - local folktale).

¹ Daughter of Charles Robertson, farmer, and Janet (Jessy) McGregor, christened 28th December 1819, Fortingall.
² Charles Robertson married Janet/Jessie/Jessey McGregor on 4th February 1816, Fortingall.
³ Jessie died at Dalriach on 30th December 1878, aged 87 years. Parents given as Peter McGregor and Margaret McGregor.

³ William McGregor, farmer at Tighnacoille, aged 53y, son of William McGregor (crofter, deceased), and Isabella Mclean, married Catherine Campbell, aged 35y, daughter of John Campbell (shepherd, deceased), and Ann Stewart (farmer), on 6th October 1871 at Tighnacoille. Witnessed by John Robertson and Catherine Robertson.

² Archibald Menzies died at Tighmore 27th April 1913, aged 76 years. His parents were given as George Menzies and Margaret Robertson. Death certificate witnessed by his brother George.
³ George Menzies and Mary Margaret Robertson married 25th January 1834 in Dull parish. Archibald born 2nd May 1837, Dull parish.
