The Testament Dative and Inventory of Helen Stewart in Toldunie, 1776

Helen Stewart – The Testament Dative and Inventory of the goods, gear, debts and sums of money which pertained and was resting to umquhile (deceased) Helen Stewart, spouse to the also deceased Alexander Seaton in Toldunie and sister germain to the also deceased John Stewart, soldier in Montgomery's Regiment, truely made and given up by Janet Seaton, only daughter of the foresaid defunct and nearest in kin to her, and Donald Seaton in Pitdornie as Tutor and Administrator in Law to her as the decreet dative following on an edict duly executed and endorsed, in itself more fully bears:

Imprimis (Firstly), there is given up, pertaining and belonging to the said umquhile Helen Stewart (at) the time foresaid of her decease, the sum of £3 3s Sterling, contained in a bill dated 14th March 1757, payable 14th March 1758 drawn by the said John Stewart upon and accepted by David Nucle(?) senior in Methven, and to which bill the foresaid Helen Stewart the defunct required possession and right and .... thereof .... at two different times in the year 1758.

Item the annual rent (interest) due and resting thereof since the same fell due and alide payment. Sum inventary patet

This testament was confirmed at Dunkeld by Mr Thomas Bisset, Commissary, upon the second day of January 1776 years and Donald Stewart in Ardtulichan became cautioner for the executor, by bond.
