Blair Atholl marriages not in its Old Parish Records (pre-1743)

Extracts of marriages from the records of the surrounding parishes

The Blair Atholl Old Parish Record of marriages starts in November 1743, but some earlier marriages are to be found in the marriage records of the adjacent parishes: Dull OPR from 1703; Logierait OPR from 1650; Moulin OPR from 1740. The Fortingall OPR marriages only start in 1748: later than Blair Atholl parish).

In some cases the adjacent parish OPR mentions the dwelling place of the bride or groom in Blair Atholl parish. Where the groom has come from Blair Atholl but the location is not given, the birthplace of children from the marriage has been added (in parenthesis) to assist with possible identification of the couple.

The following list shows only the marriages before 1744. There are separate lists for individual parishes after 1743. This document is still under construction and will be updated as work progresses, but it was considered useful enough to include at present, despite its incomplete state.
